Golden Peak Media Visual Guidelines
Golden Peak Media is a company comprising several different distinct craft communities, each with their own branding. However, as the parent company, Golden Peak’s brand standards were not well defined.
As Creative Director, I led a project to capture and codify the overarching visual brand standards that were universal across the various craft divisions of the company. The guide aimed to define current standards and provide a framework for future goals, to lay a strong foundation for an impending corporate-wide rebranding initiative. The design team and I collaborated with marketing, sales, editorial and executive partners to solidify creative goals and identify best practices based on advertising performance, audience engagement, and existing community brand equity.
By identifying and standardizing the creative directives across craft communities, the design team was better positioned to serve all aspects of the company more consistently and to easily scale into new communities as well. Golden Peak Media aimed to cater to enthusiast consumers under a cohesive brand identity, and emphasizing consistency while accommodating the unique characteristics of each community was key to ensuring a compelling brand presence across all platforms.
